A daily word game you can play in a minute

Wordjio is a daily word game built around one idea: find the words on a connected letter board, then come back tomorrow for a new Daily Jio.

Most people open a word game looking for a short, honest puzzle: a board, a dictionary, and a score they can trust. Wordjio is that kind of game. Each Jio is one letter puzzle. The first public shape is Square Jio, a four-by-four grid where every letter has neighbors in eight directions.

You press a letter and slide through adjacent tiles. Diagonals count. A tile can be used once in a word. Words must be at least three letters. The server reconstructs the word from the path you submitted, checks the dictionary, and awards points. The board you see is the board that is scored.

How Square Jio plays

Longer words score more. A three-letter word is 10 points. Four letters are 25. Five are 60. The table continues up through ten or more letters at 650. That curve rewards spotting a long path without making short words worthless. Invalid paths never open a dialog; the board tells you why the attempt did not count.

Play works with a mouse, a finger, or a keyboard. On a phone, keep contact and slide. With a keyboard, focus a tile, start a selection, and move to an adjacent letter. Screen readers hear the letter and the order of the path.

The Daily word game

Every day at midnight Eastern Time, Wordjio publishes one Daily puzzle. Rank locks the first time you find every target word. Bonus words after that still earn gems and XP, but they do not replace that score. You can pick up if the tab closes. Extra plays on the same puzzle are practice. Anyone can play as a guest; the public leaderboard is for signed-in players.

After a Daily expires, its word list is published on that date’s page. Paths stay off that page so sharing remains answer-safe.
